Why is my credit card being charged $750 to bid?

All bids are subject to a bid hold in the amount of $750. In addition to this hold, winning bidders will have another hold that is 10% of the winning bid charged following the conclusion of an auction. These bid holds are refunded back to the bidder’s credit card in all other circumstances outside of a winning bidder not completing checkout and payment.
